Blending technology and diversity to create industry-ready professionals
Established in 1993, APU, once known as Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology (APIIT), has a curriculum that is focused on technology-based courses, emphasising creativity and innovation in all our programmes. In recognition of APU’s core strength in technology, we are the first academic institution in Malaysia to be awarded Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) Malaysia status.
APU offers pre-university, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes covering five main areas: Computing & Technology, Engineering, Business & Management, Accounting & Finance and Quantitative Studies. All programmes are aimed at equipping individuals to learn, adapt and think in new and ever-changing conditions. By doing so, we groom our students into qualified professionals.
Our programmes are strengthened by our long-standing partnership with Staffordshire University, United Kingdom. The dual awards qualifications are benchmarked against international education standards and relevant global industry practices. Our graduates possess the key skills of employability, enterprise and entrepreneurship – and the ability to stand out in the job market.
Study in a high-tech, international environment
APU also offers a truly diverse learning environment which prepares students for the cosmopolitan challenges of our digital age. More than 100 nationalities study at APU. It is this diversity of our student population that results in an enriching learning experience as our students collaborate and interact with one another.
Our clear focus on technology and diversity will be strengthened when the new APU campus located in Technology Park Malaysia (TPM) opens in 2016, an ultra-modern campus equipped with state-of-the-art learning facilities. This will place us at the heart of a technopreneurial hub, positioning our students well within established technology-based industry players in the areas of ICT, Engineering, Media and Telecommunications.
